• SDH microwave: The new generation of digital radio links are based on SDH technology. SDH radio is an alternative to the fiber systems for the reasons like economics, fast setup, and easy installation on hard surface conditions. • PDH microwave: Today, even if SDH radio technology replaces the PDH radio technology in many areas, PDH radios are still being used in point to point telecommunication implementations. For low-capacity and small link implementations, PDH radio are still preferred for economical reasons.
